Hello!<\/em><\/p>\n

I am a professor<\/a> and researcher<\/a> at the State University of Para\u00edba (UEPB<\/a>), based in Jo\u00e3o Pessoa, Brazil, where I have been active since 2007. I am currently affiliated with the Center for Biological and Social Applied Sciences (CCBSA<\/a>) and serve as a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Environmental Science and Technology (PPGCTA\/UEPB<\/a>).<\/em><\/p>\n

My academic background combines mathematics and engineering: I hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (thermal science and fluids) from the Federal University of Para\u00edba (UFPB<\/a>), where I was awarded the Lenilde Duarte de S\u00e1 Thesis Award<\/a>, as well as both M.Sc. and teaching degrees in Mathematics from the Federal University of Cear\u00e1 (UFC<\/a>). This interdisciplinary formation naturally led me to work in the field of Computational Science and Engineering, where I integrate mathematical modeling, numerical methods, and data-driven approaches to address complex real-world problems.<\/em><\/p>\n

Throughout my career, I have worked on a wide range of topics, including numerical analysis, finite element methods, transport phenomena, porous media, reservoir simulation, signal processing, and applied statistics. More recently, my research<\/a> has focused on environmental and energy-related challenges, particularly carbon capture and storage (CCS).<\/em><\/p>\n

I am actively involved in several research groups recognized by CNPq<\/a>, including the Environmental Technologies Research Group (GPTecA<\/a>), the Intelligence, Entrepreneurship and Information Management Group, the Public and Private Organizational Management Group, and the TRIL Lab<\/a> \u2013 Computational Engineering. I also participate in the international cooperation project CO2SS<\/a>, dedicated to the characterization of geological structures for carbon storage. In addition, I co-lead the Laboratory of Entrepreneurship, Management and Intelligence (LABEGI\/UEPB<\/a>).<\/em><\/p>\n
